Blacknote is committed to ensuring your complete satisfaction with every purchase. This Refund Policy sets out the conditions under which refunds are granted, the process for claiming one, and the timelines involved. Please read this policy carefully before placing an order.
Sealed / New Records: Eligible for a full refund if the return request is raised within 7 days of the delivery or collection date, provided the item is in its original, unopened condition with all original packaging intact.
Opened / Pre-Owned Records: Not eligible for a refund based on change of mind. Refunds on opened records are granted only where the item is demonstrably defective, significantly not as described, or damaged in transit.
Digital or Downloadable Items: Not eligible for a refund once accessed or downloaded.
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or different from what was ordered, you must contact us within 48 hours of delivery at hello@blacknote.co.in, providing: (a) your order number; (b) a clear description of the issue; and (c) photographic or video evidence of the damage or defect. Claims raised after 48 hours may be declined at our discretion. Upon verification, we will offer a full refund or a replacement item at no additional cost. The choice between refund and replacement rests with Blacknote where stock is available.
All orders are carefully packaged to minimise the risk of transit damage. If an item arrives visibly damaged, please photograph the outer packaging before opening it, as this may be required to process a courier claim. Transit damage claims must be raised within 48 hours of delivery. Blacknote will coordinate the refund or replacement; the customer is not required to return the damaged item unless specifically requested.
Email hello@blacknote.co.in with the subject line “Refund Request — [Order Number]”. Include your full name, order number, the item(s) concerned, and a brief description of the reason for the refund. Our team will acknowledge your request within 1 business day and respond with a decision within 3 business days.
Approved refunds are processed within 5–7 business days of approval. Refunds are credited to the original payment method — UPI, net banking, or card as applicable. We are not liable for delays caused by your bank, payment provider, or card network. You will receive a confirmation email once the refund has been initiated.
The following are strictly non-refundable: (a) gift cards; (b) records purchased during sale, clearance, or promotional events, unless defective; (c) items that have been used, played, or show signs of handling beyond what was described at the time of sale; (d) items returned without prior authorisation from Blacknote; (e) orders where the return window has expired.
Items returned without prior written authorisation will not be accepted and will be returned to the sender at their cost. Blacknote reserves the right to refuse a refund on any item that does not comply with this policy.
